File transfers up to 1GB

When you need to get someone that important file fast, Yahoo! Messenger is the way to go. You can drag-and-drop up to 1GB of files right into the IM window. This is a great way to send documents, spreadsheets, presentations, or any other files you want, and know when they have been received.

Sending Files

Send File

You can also send files by clicking the Send File button in the IM window.

  1. Click Browse to select the location where the file is stored
  2. Click Open for a list of the files in the folder
  3. Select the file to send and click Open
  4. Add a description of the file, if you like
  5. Click Send
  6. You will receive confirmation when your file has been received
