When words escape you, turn to Soundblasts and Soundtracks. They're fun sound options we've built right into Yahoo! Messenger. So while you're on a PC call, just click on the sounds icon to open up a world of Soundblasts to fit the moment. You can also click on the Soundtracks icon to play your own MP3 file in the background (like a favorite song you're dying to share — you can even control the volume of the song during the call).
There's lots of Soundblasts to choose from, and the list continues to grow. Here's some you'll find waiting to spice up your voice calls:
| Cow moo | |
| Drumroll | |
| Guitar solo | |
| Bummer trombone | |
| Bomb | |
| applause | |
| Scream | |
| Window breaking |
| Soundtrack | |
| Burp | |
| Bleep | |
| "Ooooooh" | |
| Cough | |
| laughing | |
| Moan |
Start a PC-to-PC or PC-to-phone call with a friend.
After your friend has answered your call, click the purple Call button near the upper-left of your conversation window.
This will open the Soundboard window, where you'll see small icons for the different sounds. Then use your mouse to click on the sound you want — which you'll both instantly hear!
To use Soundtrack, click on the music note icon, then choose an MP3 file from your computer. As it's playing, you can also open a slider bar to control the volume of the song on your call.
